PETITION FOR REPLACEMENT OUTDOOR TENNIS COURT LIGHTING - DAVID LLOYD ENFIELD

1. The club is represented by 18 teams in various leagues throughout the year and the outdoor lights are completely inadequate making matches extremely challenging and embarrassing as visiting teams frequently complain about the lighting.  Home matches are no advantage for our teams.  There are 38 home matches scheduled this summer alone meaning approx. 200 visitors for the club to potentially showcase its tennis facilities to.

2. Sufficient lighting outdoors would mean the courts would be utilised more and ease booking pressure on the indoor courts which are difficult to book for many members most evenings.

3. During the last 5 years, the club has refurbished many areas of the club ie, cafe bar, patio, gym, changing rooms but no significant improvements or investment has been made to the tennis facilities.

These statements do not apply to the facilities at David Lloyd Enfield.

We urge the club to invest in the tennis facilities at David Lloyd Enfield as a matter of priority.
