This is a petition for the Frost SA or Fleming College to reimburse students who payed Lindsay Recreation center membership fees this year.
This is also a petition in support of switching back to the Lindsay rec center as the fitness facility included in the Fleming Frost Campus student fee.
The choice to switch to spectrum was a decision made by a small group of people, and does not meet the needs of the student body as a whole.
Spectrum is; NOT accessible
Does NOT have a pool which some programs require practice to obtain Bronze medallion and NLS. Some students may also chose swimming as a type of fitness due to low-impact nature and accessibility.
The FSA needs to stop speaking for themselves and start speaking for the students! Reimburse us and switch back to the rec center!

Seeing this level of support confirms that I am not the only one frustrated by the current situation. It has been an exhausting road so far but knowing that so many of you are experiencing these same barriers keeps me moving forward.

The lack of accessibility and hygienic standards of the spectrum facility is an insult to students. We still pay the SAME tuition and rec centre fees as we did with the Lindsay Rec Centre, but now we are provided with a sub-par recreation facility, does this make sense?
I honestly miss the pool and classes the most. It is also very inconvenient for people living in res to get to the gym downtown. Lindsay is really lacking in good transit and let be honest no one wants to walk to the gym in -20 weather
I just want a pool to swim in tbh
I live on the other side of town and do not have a car. The spectrum centre is not readily available to me, where the Lindsay rec centre is on campus and accessible to me.
if we don't use it, we should get our money back.
I want to be reimbursed for the mandatory gym membership I haven't used for 4 semesters.
Fitness and wellness should be promoted!!

I would really love to be able to go to the rec centre I moved closer to the school so I would be able to go to the rec centre easily for swimming but now I cannot go swimming and am signed up for spectrum.
