We, the undersigned, think that it is time for the BBC and the UK to withdraw from the Eurovision Song Contest which has become a nonsense in recent years. The voting is so obviously biased between neighbouring countries or those with political agendas or preducices and the original ideals around it being a contest for songs are becoming lost to the viewer. As one of the "Big Four", the UK is funding the spectacle and becoming a laughing stock. The contest should be made fairer by demanding contributions from all participants, or else be scrapped all-together unless a fairer voting structure can be introduced. With so many new European countries, and so many migrant workers who can effectively vote for their own country, the current basis for the competition is no longer fair or credible.
