Wow 300+ people think these BOD members should step down and this is a debate? There was a time petitions would be created to force the pious into leadership roles, there was so much fear to accept the responsibility of these positions. No we have to make a petition to ask people to step down. Sad.

The BOD is there to serve the community not to exercise power as they wish. The reaction from the community shows how detached they are from the needs of ICCL. Imam Javed Bhaiyat and Sis. Asma Bhaiyat are among the more qualified people in the community. They provided dynamic teaching and leadership for us. This is an Islamic Community, and we will honor people of true islamic knowledge. Let's not forget that this is not a secular organization. Islam comes first here! Only people taqwa, knowledge of islam and humility should handle its affairs. If we fail to do it, it will lead to more fitna, backbiting and ignorance. May Allah forgive our mistakes and shower the community with his infinite blessings.

Y v Muslims have politics in masjids too. The above mentioned all violations u guys just see all of sudden when some bod fired some lady.... Let the bod do their work and don't bring this ego problem and let's come out of this family running NGOs imam Saab his wife principal his son something ?.for god sake if 5 bod made Unanimous decision of firing someone with using their power so respect that decision and find some other job plz...

We r satisfied with current school administration and will suggest not involve school on Masjid politics , we r paying for better future of children and not for any favorite Isam .since last 15 years we r listening and watching politics so plz as for as school is concerned there should not be any interference from any one and let parents decide

Sister Asma has been a pillar of support and guidance to the female members of the Laurel Community. It is appalling to see a lady who has made it her personal mission to teach and spread the beauty of Islam in a peaceful manner be disrespected. I have no idea how these board members sleep at night, remember Allah is most just and one cannot be successful in life by trampling others. This small knit community demands answers and accountability for the hundreds of thousands of dollars you have taken from hard working people with promises of building a center of faith that will accommodate our growing community, which we have yet to see! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH-we demand answers and TRANSPARENCY NOW!!

Our ICCL will follow the sunnah. Will run the Islamic way. We don't follow the secular way of Board of Directors .

There are people in BOD who do not come or live in the community. Yet they have the audacity of calling the shots on ICCL community affairs. We have to get rid of these people and elect people who are truly involved at ICCL.

Any educational institutions such as Sunday School, General School, etc. should be completely out of negative influences including but not limited to politics, power, bias, and favors.

B.O.D. has been evasive so far in explaining their action. That says a lot. The community was caught by surprise because there was hardly any talk about any major problem with ICCL Academy. Things aren't perfect. But something has to go terribly wrong to necessitate such a drastic action. We have seen these in other places. This is nothing but a power grab by B.O.D. Members of community be aware. May Allah save ICCL from this fitna.
