Please help us stop the media from broadcasting private and personal information without consent of those unjustly represented, unable to represent themselves and their kin. We, the people of Kalamazoo County and all of the Channel 3 viewing counties who have signed this petition feel that Channel 3 News and the Michigan State Police are in violation of (one's) rights of privacy. This individual is deceased and the individuals who have signed here would like to help preserve his dignity by stopping the media from continually smearing the reputation of a man who cannot be here to defend himself. Channel 3 has been asked to discontinue to broadcast information about a incedent involving the death of a father of 4. The mother has asked them, repeatedly to stop using this video as an example of how new video surveliance on I-94 works. The Michigan State Police own the reinactment video and are largely accountable to the emotional well being of his family by continuing to allow this to be shown publicly without the approval of said family; more specifically his wife.
