The bill of rights is just that. It states our rights. Though once you become a convicted felon there are two right one loses: 1) the right to vote. 2) the right to bear arms. The purpose for this petition is to reverse the fact that we can lose our rights. I myself would love to be able to vote and have my voice heard. I would love to be able to purchase a fire arm so that I may protect myself, my family, my property. I would love to be able to go hunting or shoot for sport. By all means I do agree that not all felons should be allowed to posses a fire arm: Violent offenders and sex offenders. Offenders of a strong armed crime. Also there should be a statute, or time limit. as long as one stays out of trouble for a certain amount time, say 10 yrs, these rights should be able to get reinstated.
