I am a fairly new resident of Arizona and Fountain Hills. Your recent partisanship is sending a signal to me (and others) that you do not care to represent me and all of your constituents. I am requesting an apology and a change in how the upcoming election is being approached. We all want good government that is run by the rules. Thank you, S. Lloyd

Sent to Linda Kavanagh by email: In this coming election Ms. Kavanagh you have no right to ask Fountain Hills citizens to vote along party lines. You as our mayor (especially) should be not be using a political party to endorse a Republican candidate. As a Fountain Hills resident I assumed that you represented ALL citizens who live here as permanent residents. Apparently I was wrong. Your attack of Ginny Dickey on Facebook is vile and hateful. I suggest you take it off and act like the mayor you SHOULD be and be impartial as to a political party - which I am sorry to add - has become a party of hate and prejudice locally as well as nationally. I thought better of you. You have disappointed me and lots of other Fountain Hills residents with your support of tactics unbecoming for a person in your position. You have chosen to go out of office with a bang in your Facebook ad. Shame on you! Gigi Lentz

Typical. Encouraging the residents of FH to vote the party line in a NON-PARTISAN local election. All the more reason we need Ginny Dickey to be our next Mayor. She will listen to and represent ALL the residents.

It has been disgraceful to the town that you supposedly represent to falsely disparage a fine person known to be a pillar of the community for 34+yrs, and public servant, unlike you, all for the sake of retaining perceived political power over decent behavior that has been the norm until recently in this community. This will be your legacy no matter the outcome of the mayoral election. You will wear it like a stain.

We will not stand for this in our town! You disrespect us and you disrespect the office and everyone who lives in this town that you took an oath to serve as our Mayor!

The Kavannaugh’s message is despicable. Not only is it disrespectful to the Town of Fountain Hills, it’s disrespectful to the idea of ethical behavior. I am sad for their “side.” There shouldn’t be sides in this so-called non-partisan election.

I am personally offended that the current mayor of our beautiful town is running an advertising campaign designed to divide us as a community. I want to live in a community in which fair and reasonable management prevails -- not partisan bickering that hurts us all. The good people of Fountain Hills deserve much much better than this. Shame on Linda Kavanagh.

Stop the nonsense and stop your childish behavior. I am a Liberal Lady and we have done many things to make FH better. What have you done. Name it.

This is exactly what is ailing our town. She brings party politics to the dais.
