Embarrassed for our town that a sitting mayor engages in lies and accusations for the sole purpose of swaying an election. I thought the office of mayor would have been held to a higher standard. Apparently not. So sad.

I did not expect to experience the hateful rhetoric that has been directed towards a candidate because she is running for Mayor, What are the major issues in this town that she has addressed but has been ignored? It is wrong to make personal attacks on a candidate, Ginny Dickey who is qualified to become Mayor of Fountain Hills. Members of a community here in Fountain Hills have chosen to vandalize their neighbors' property by spray painting the signs that were in the neighbors' yard only because the signs did not represent their choices for candidates. This is a terrible representation of Fountain Hills.

The mayor is supposed to remain impartial and is clearly not.

Your behavior as the sitting Mayor has been shameful; from both your public and private posts and now the flagrant partisan bullying by tagging opponents political signs. You are demonstrating the same bullying going on in DC right now and this will not be tolerated in our small community. You are proving that Ginny will win and just how small you are.

I moved to FH to be closer to my mom and raise my kids on a quiet community. What a shock it has been to discover the ugliness, pettiness, and divisiveness that has come along with it. For shame.

Ginny Dickey is one of the most mindful, rational, responsible and civic-minded people I have known. To smear her in any way makes you look weak and manipulative.

Linda I really like you as a person, but it makes me so sad to see the “politics of division” being played out in our small town. I would like to politely ask you to stop.

How could you make these comments about Genny Dickey. She is the best candidate for Mayor and she deserves our respect.

I have returned to my hometown to care for my elderly mother. I have quickly learned I do not want to support a bed community or one with divisive leadership as yours. We will be selling our home!

I thought I had already signed this petition but don't see my name. It is very inappropriate for a Mayor of our town and Senator of our State to weigh in so divisively in a non-partisan election. And to say that all we have to know is which party the candidates belong to is so very wrong. That's how we got Trump. Republicans who knew how dangerous he was for our country voted for him anyway because he represented their party. It's time to vote for the best person for our town, our state and our country! Shame on you Kavanagh's.

Linda your politics are showing. Your derogatory and divisive comments and mailings are demeaning to you, and show a lack of respect for the office you hold. I'm sure I speak for many who will rejoice when you are no longer Mayor and hand over the gavel to Ginny. RIP.

The Kavanaughs spread fake news and think they need to discredit someone instead of saying something that Cecil could do for the town instead.
