You should not divide up a middle school!! I do not even have kids that would be affected, but feel passionate about disturbing a child's world during their formulative years.

Let our kids go to the school which is nearer and where all their friends would be going to.

It doesn't make sense why we would be zoned to OR. Zoning needs to be based on distance before anything. Kids who start school together should be able to stay together. This is why families don't move around, to provide stability for our children.

We live in Legends Trace and we want our kids to attend Grand Oaks HS. Some of our reasons are:
* Dividing York into different high schools could lead to a divided campus, with conflict and bullying.
* Longer commute. Oak Ridge is twice the distance from us compared to Grand Oaks.
* More time on a bus and less time for our kids to study and spend with family.
*Increased traffic on Rayford Road.

My family lives in Legends Trace & I am against my children being zoned to Oak Ridge for the following reasons:
Being zoned to Oak Ridge will have a negative impact on our community.
Taking our kids away from their Rayford Road friends in other neighborhoods that get zoned to Grand Oaks.
Unintended consequences of the emotional distress caused by splitting our kids from their life long classmates.
Dividing York into different high schools could lead to a divided campus, with conflict and bullying.
Longer commute. Oak Ridge is twice the distance from us compared to Grand Oaks.
More time on a bus and less time for our kids to study and spend with family.
Increased traffic on Rayford Road.
Increased fuel cost for CISD transportation due to longer commutes, leading to tax increases.
Safety of our children having to drive on Rayford Road, where frequent major accidents occur.
Broken Promise‐ CISD sold us on their recent bond by promising a Rayford Road High school. They did not tell us that it was only for a small portion of Rayford Road. This is dishonest and disrespectful of the taxpayers.
Decrease in property values compared to other neighborhoods around us.

Do not zone Legends Trace to Oak Ridge! This makes no sense!

I've heard some of the other neighborhoods complain that including Legends trace would be including lower income people. What a terrible argument! Keeping the school populations diverse and inclusive help maintain all neighborhoods in the area rather than a select few.

How foolish to sell people on a bond but mislead them. Shame. Fix this. MAKE it right. KEEP the York kids together! Set the EoLR with the new HS!!!!

As a mom of a current freshman and a recent graduate of Oak Ridge, I am shocked that this is even an issue that needs to be addressed. Not only is it wrong to send students from York to different high schools, it is incredibly irresponsible to have students driving to Oak Ridge when there will be a closer and safer alternative. Though this decision will not impact my family directly, I am a resident of the Estates of Legends Ranch and firmly believe that our neighborhood should be zoned to Grand Oaks High School. Thank you.

I am a mom of 2 children in the Estates of Legends Ranch. I feel it is completely unfair to start separating these kids that have know each other most of their lives. I do not think my oldest should be ripped away from his peers and have to graduate without the majority of his classmates .

Please keep York united and have Estates of Legends Ranch go to Grand Oaks. There are so many reasons for this that I'm not able to type in a small comment box. It's closer, they are already in feeding schools to Grand Oaks, traffic concerns, splitting friendships made since kinder, just to name a few.

It's absurd that our kids may still have to travel twice the distance to attend ORHS
