Please save our parks... and not just the big ones! It's the small patches throughout our City that really matter in often overlooked ways.

Let NYU accommodate itself (perhaps shrinking if its current spaces are inadequate?) rather than asking the city to compromise its environment for NYU.

The city's parks and open space are hugely important to the livability of the city. The good health and well-being of every citizen depends on the parks and open spaces.

As a biologist, I have witnessed and documented how imported green spaces in general, and these parks in particular, are to migratory birdlife and other native wildlife species. To say nothing of the essential role that trees and shrubs play in cleaning city air, providing oxygen, removing pollution, reducing asthma rates, and absorbing storm-water runoff. We need to preserve these spaces and create financial incentives for doing so, and for creating new green spaces. I hope that eventually the tax structure is revised to this end.

Parks help people breath better and stay calmer.

As a longtime W. Village resident I love the parks and open spaces and am dissapinted at the City for letting it shrink. Please do not allow commercial enterprises and especially NYU take our Parks and open spaces. Thank you, Jeff

We need open space in this area- not more retail!

All parks in NYC must be protected as essential public resources with a price above rubies. The parks NYU wishes to use for its expansion are especially vital for a community already lacking green space. Any progressive official does "have a sacred duty" to protect and expand green space in the city.

The preservation of City Parkland is important to the quality of life in our city. Once it's lost we can never regain it.

Are you kidding me? This city has become increasingly polluted. There is verry little or no relief from this pollution. We need some oxygen giving places..so places for our children to breath and run around.

We New Yorkers need all the park space we have. It is legally ours, and necessary for the health and well being of our neighborhood.

Keep Quality of Life alive.
