I have known Regis for over 25 years and he has always been a leader and dedicated to his career as a DC Police Officer. Regis has worked his way up the ranks quickly and effectively!!!!! We need more leaders like Regis in our communities and on our surrounding Police agencies!!!! Regis has lead many other Police officers to success with his knowledge and experience to become promoted and successful Officers. Some have even retired and started second careers using the knowledge they received from Regis. This demotion comes to me as a huge surprise and disappointment!!!! A huge mistake has been made!!! Reinstating Regis Bryant is a must!!!! And needs to be done sooner than later!!!!!

His work and years of service ti the citizens in the district of columbia show for a reason. Reinstate him to his position as you see the crime hasnt stioped so he was not the problem the district crime is. Be fair and not tarnish his name.

Commander Regis Bryant and the officials under him greatly supported proactive policing strategies which led to a large decrease in violent crime and an increase in the arrest of violent offenders. Under his command, the officers assigned to the Seventh District increased the amount of illegal firearms that were recovered during 2017. Through his leadership and support, officers morale improved tremendously. Officers took great satisfaction in doing their daily duties and coming to work during a time where policing in America has come under increased scrutiny and criticisms. Commander Bryant not only set an example of what drastic improvements the Seventh District is capable of but brought a sense of pride and accomplishment back to policing and working for the Ward 8 community. Despite all the recent successes, Commander Bryant was suddenly demoted and now the hardworking men and women of the Seventh District are left to wonder what will happen to the recent success that they are trying to build off of. I do hope that Commander Bryant will once again lead the officers in the Seventh District. He was pleasure to serve under and inspired many officers to work hard to protect and serve the citizens of the District of Columbia.

Commander Bryant has always been a fair and reasonable manager. He is someone who leads by example and shows compassion for the rank and file members , as well as the citizens he serves.
I hope he is given a chance to show the redeeming qualities and leadership skills that inspire so many.
