Our children should not be used as political pawns.

The position should be non-political. A political leaning should not be asked, nor assumed and performance should not be based on such!

These manufactured wedge issues are detrimental to fact based education of future leaders and voters.

This “gang” is shameful.

Please get politics OUT of the school system and do what’s best for the children.

There are clearly violations of the Sunshine laws involved. This requires a complete investigation of all school board members. If violations occurred, the members involved must resign.

I'm a liberal Democrat, but was so impressed with Dr. Asplen and his obvious concern for a non-political school district, that it is obvious that Karen Rose is the real problem.

It is your responsibility to represent the public in which you serve. That means you should listen to them and when over 90% of the people that show up do not agree with your decision, you at least pause that decision and do not push your own agenda forward. Our children will not be used for your political gain.

Please don't use our children as political pawns.

I’m a retired teacher who supports our teachers!

97.4% of teachers approve of Dr. Asplen. That should be enough evidence that this is not in the favor of them or the students, for whom they have their best interests at heart. Clearly, there are other motivations.

Please act on your pledge to unite, and stop the political paybacks.

Attaining and maintaining an A rated school system should be valued by those who care about our students and education Dr. Asplen is a valuable leader. The board’s action is egregious.

Get politics out of the School Board and its actions. It should be about what is best for our children.

This school board is following through with plans to absolutely harm Sarasota students and the community.

Retain Dr. Asplen!!!!!!

Dr. Aspen has had the best interests of our children & has done an incredible job. Partisan politics should not be part of our school system.

There is no compelling reason to fire our superintendent especially when you have never worked with him......it us ridiculous and shameful.

Students & teachers come first!
