This absolutely should be 100% family and personal choice.

The school board needs to stick to education and let parents/guardians decide what is medically best for their children.

As parents, we are in charge of making the best choices for our children. When it comes to to masking, not only is there no data supporting use of masks at young ages, but what about the other health and social issues this could be causing. Keep these choices with parents.

Please let parents choose what is best for their own children and families. If a family feels differently they are now able to buy N95 masks or masks with filters increase their protection. I personally don’t want my children to live in fear or to be afraid for people to see their faces . Our son has asthma and last year he came home with a wet rag of a mask on his face every day because her chewed it when he was nervous. With asthma and a speech IEP he needs fresh air and the ability to speak. Please consider how masks affect respiration, mental health, emotional health and social skills in our young and developing children and let families decide what they would like to do.

Won't wear a mask even if it's forced

Mask efficacy is controversial. Who's supposedly being protected - the kids or the adults? Let families choose.

Masks needs to be optional!! You can go anywhere in mn without masks, why would we mask children all day when this virus is hardly even affecting them! Freedom! It is unconstitutional!

I believe that parents need to make informed decisions on this issue for their own families. Also, we need to focus on other ways to help build children’s immune systems such as eating healthy, getting plenty of rest, drinking water, and exercising.
