Children under the age of 7 who suffer from mental health disorder(s) in Ontario will be turned away and told there is nothing we can do for you! You can take them to the emerg of the closet hospital and they will say that they do not have the resources to assist you or your child(ren) in the immediate crisis! They might refer you to the Crisis Unit the next day to see a doctor who only deals with adults or adolescents but not children under the age of seven! The other thing you might be told is to call your closet police division and ask for the mobile crisis to attend your home and by the time they get there you might not need them or the situation could have escalated to where there was more damage done! Children need more services out there! Medication is not the first step! They need some services to where they can get the appropriate help! If these services do not work then try medication but the proper ones!
