OU Regent Humphreys Must Resign: BOYCOTT OF DONATIONS

As an OU alumna, I find these comments disgraceful and embarrassing. This kind of hate is not what our university should stand for.

Queer and Class of 2014, ashamed of my alma mater.

I have worked with the Alumni Association to get information on leaving OU money in my will for an LGBTQ scholarship fund. I am VERY concerned about the direction and leadership of the Board of Regents.

Kirk Humphreys statements about homosexuality reflect poorly on the Univeristy of Oklahoma As an LGBTQ alum of both OU undergrad and law achool, I am angry, I am upset, and I'm asking Mr. Humphreys to resign immediately from the OU Board of Regents.

As an OU alumna and an LGBTQ ally, I won’t stand for a member that conducts himself in this manner to stay in such an influential position on the Board of Regents for my alma mater. He MUST go!

Anyone making glib remarks about groups of people does not need to be speaking for those people in an appointed position.

I'm a former OU employee. I was going to give a year-end gift to KGOU but Regent Humphreys' continued leadership role means I will not be making my donation.

As an alumni, I do not want to see our great university tarnished by such ignorance. Humphreys must go, and good riddance. Bonus points if we replace him with someone from the LGBTQ community.

Please do the right thing and step down before you cause any more harm. Kind and loving people have taken their own lives when people say ignorant things like what you said. Sir, I am afraid you are not the kind of responsible leader we need at my alma mater and it is better that you go now and learn why you should repent than face the disgrace of being pushed out in the coming months.

A Regent of the University of Oklahoma should adhere to the policies, standards and diversity of the university. As a donor, former student, Sooner fan, PhD, academic, local business owner, manager, Sooner born and former faculty member at similar institutions.....I call on Humphreys to either resign or be forced out as a Regent. Kirk Humphreys has no business making decisions concerning the next President of the University of Oklahoma or representing the university in any manner.

He needs to go. No place for hate on the board of regents

We cannot have a leader with responsibilities of hiring a new President who feels some of our students are worth less than others because of their sexual orientation.

I am a huge fan of OU athletics and of the school itself but I will not be spending anymore money on anything that benefits OU financially as long as as Humphreys remains on the Board of Regents. I do not support bigotry or those that allow bigotry.

Sad.... this guy really, really needs to go! He does not represent the values of the university where I've earned 2 Masters degrees. He makes the entire university, community and the state look BAD! Shame!!
