The University of Oklahoma is an all-inclusive university. OU accepts and loves everyone. This fact must be represented at all levels of the university.

I cannot, in good conscience, contribute to the university as I had planned until Humphreys is removed from the board and OU makes it clear that it's a safe place for its LGBTQ students.

Someone with such hatred toward LGBTQ individuals should not be part of a public university.

This is a major PR problem for OU and it’s not going to get any better. How can OU be a safe place for the LGBTQ community while this person is part of the board? End cognitive dissonance now.

If he continues to serve on the board, years of progress will be loss‼️
An apology will NOT clean up his comment‼️Only his removal from the board will remove the stain on OU’s inclusive, diverse and tolerant policies.
“ It’s time for him to go‼️“

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2014. I will NOT support the University of Oklahoma financially--including no longer buying sports tickets, paraphernalia for gifts, etc--until Humphreys is no longer affiliated with OU.

as long as Mr. Humphreys remains on the Board of Regents his membership signals a tacit approval of his comments by Oklahoma leadership. OU has made so many efforts to let every student know that they are a valued member of the OU community. Don't let this man be the voice of OU.

Kirk Humphreys is a disgrace to my Christian faith! He should not be serving the public in any capacity, most certainly not paid board positions, positions of power, or decision making positions. He currently has all three. HE MUST BE REMIVED!

As an academic officer and member of the OU community, I support our LGBTQ students, faculty and staff. All members of our community should be treated with dignity and respect. Regent Humphreys’ comments are not only disrespectful, they are entirely inappropriate and unacceptable. He should not continue to represent the University in any capacity.
