The Osmonds during the early 70’s contributed creative original music- relevant to that era- always in a positive way. Playing their own instruments- they the 5 brothers are quite versatile.
Just listen to Down By The Lazy River, Crazy Hores among other songs.

They are one of the most under rated groups around. They have done things that many people will never accomplish! Time to be recognized for their talents.

They have hundreds of awards, records not to mention fans all over the world. They are a big part of history. The Osmonds, each and everyone of them deserve the honor to be recognized into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The Osmonds are true entertainers without "drugs or alcohol " involved! Let's recognize their achievements!

The osmonds are one of the most diverse, talented family’s to date. Even with their stigma of Bubble gum music, they still out shine most of the bands that have been around. 50 years of surviving as well as re-inventing them selfs proves it.
Unlike some bands when performing now, in 2018 they sound as good as they did in 1972. How many other bands an and do say they. They still perform to sell out crowds. Have fans traveling all around the world to see them.
There is no other group I feel deserves to be in the rock and roll hall of fame more!
There religion only helped. Them presiver in a business that has destroyed many.
A good listen to many of the albums will show the rock sound that people chose to ignore to keep them listed as bubble gum. A sound that the record label wanted them to perform and a lot was due to Donny and he’s Teeny blooper draw and the all might dollar(I can say that because yes, I was one of them at the time). As an adult I learned to appreciate the music that they performed,as well as wrote.Their Album “The Plan” was phenomena.
I have Beverly understood the voting and regulations for things like the hall or fame or the stars but It is really based on the true talent?
If so, then the Osmonds should have been 8nducted along time ago.
Thanks for your time and consideration.

One of the Few Groups that have endured over 50 years in the business. The Original Boy band.
They Write and perform their own music. They paly more musical instruments then most groups and are capabile of interchanging any instrument needed.
They have had over 150 million records sold, most of their music written by them. Not to mention the role models that they portray for the younger generations. Yes I grew up hearing that they were only bubble gum but, their music was much more than that.
A lot of their songs and meaning and a beautiful sound. You could actually understand the words.
I think that the Osmond's are long overdue to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Please Acknowledge and show the respect that their talent deserves.

Donny Omsond and his brothers deserve to be in the Hall of Fame but not Marie. She's a hack who can;t play guitar, read music or anything else. She fakes it all.

I’m a 45 yr. old male and only recently discovered the Osmond’s 1972 “Crazy Horses” album just this year. I have to say, this is now one of my all-time favorite rock records!I knew of a few of their hits, but was only exposed (thru my older sisters) to some Donny Osmond singles and “The Plan” album as a child. BTW “The Plan” is incredible and one of my most beloved records.
After hearing “Crazy Horses” for the first time forty plus years after it was recorded, I’m amazed how timeless and modernistic much of it sounds. For instance, there are cool keyboard/synth ‘trills’ reminiscent to 80’s music in the song “We All Fall Down” and this was a decade before. Interesting. Donny Osmond was quite the keyboardist. He also “scratches” out (on his Yamaha YC-30’s portamento strip) the “neighing horse” sound on the Crazy Horses title track. All over the album you’ll hear glimpses of what rock, pop, blues, and r&b would become in the future. These guys were innovative and ahead of their time on “Crazy Hoses” and even “The Plan”.
Some of The Osmond’s favorite artists include Steve Wonder, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. My guess is that some of the songs on Crazy Horses just might be homages to these musicians, and if so, kudos to them for demonstrating their abilities to hone in on a particular genre and nail it…with their own original song. Brilliant.
The Crazy Horses album truly is a rock n roll gem. I think the major reason this album did not explode onto rock territory (although it was No. 14 on Billboard) is twofold…
(1) - Osmond fans were always a million “bubble-gum pop” young tween girls (I mean look how cute these guys were!) They themselves were in their teens and early twenties when they released Crazy Horses and wanted to be accepted by their peers and deemed rock artists. What young male artist wouldn’t?? But as we know unfortunately in the music industry, you can’t control what kind of fans you get. As in their case they were just too good-looking and clea

There would be no New KIds, no Backstreet Boys, no Justin Bieber without these guys beginning it all...When Joe Elliot of Def Lepard says that he used to carry Crazy Horses in a paper bag so no one knew that he loved this album...the Osmonds, not Donny, not Marie, not Jimmy, but the most underrated songwriters and bands, the Osmonds should be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and get the damned respect they deserve.
