Val's performance was certainly Oscar worthy. Truly iconic. I am hearing that he passed away yesterday. April 1 st. I hope that this is not a cruel April Fools joke. If its true, I am having a hard time believing it. I had a cosmic chance meeting him in Santa Fe many years ago. So very memorable.

Val Kilmer should’ve been nominated AT LEAST that’s crazy. I love unforgiven I love westerns but the suave pistoleer, of doc holiday is ICONIC and I can genuinely say I’ve watched tombstone MANY MORE TIMES than unforgiven gene hackmans performance was not close to Val Kilmer shame he didn’t even get a chance. One of THE. Best. Iconic. Quotable and remembered cowboy doc holiday
