How could Val be over looked. One of the finer performance I have seen for the fifth time

I totally agree; Val's portrayal of Doc Holliday is totally beyond iconic and stood out as a singularly unique film performance.

The reason I don't watch the Oscar shows yearly is because it is a farce. How could they NOT nominate Val Kilmer for this performance? It was iconic.

All I have to say,is everytime I watch tombstone, I watch to see Doc Holiday. He makes the movie worth watching. One of my favorite part's (I'll be your Huck a berry). And the end.when he get Johnny Ringo. He should have won the best actor. Love that movie:):)

I am a firm believer that Val Kilmer's performance in Tombstone was worthy of a Oscar for best supporting actor

To the Academy, it has been over twenty years since Val Kilmer turned in his memorable performance as Doc Holiday in Tombstone. Yes, we all know Val is not loved for how difficut he is too work with but most perfectionists are. Don't make this a posthumous award, give Kilmer the Oscar for best supporting actor this year. Its long overdue. Thanks for your consideration.

A perfect example of the Academy's lack of vision and appreciation of the craft.Kilmer was absolutely superb

Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holiday in Tombstone is the classic. It was so good you felt like you had tuberculosis and were fighting through it to be there for friend Wyatt Earp. His icy demeanor looked death in the eye, drew a pistol and fired straight thru death's heart, then stood over death and lamented that the encounter was "more than death could bare". Wow!

Val Kilmer's role as Doc Holiday will remain as one of the best supporting actor performances of all time, for me. I was crushed when was not even nominated. He got my Oscar, that year. He's our huckleberry.

Really unforgettable performance. Reflects poorly on oscars that Mr Kilmer was not nominated. They should fix that. I would equate Val's performance with Joaquin Phoenix in gladiator. Both were excruciatingly good.

Val Kilmer performed superbly as Doc Holliday. I understand the Jack Nicholsen was nominated that same year; he was great in "A Few Good Men" but it was a much smaller role. Holliday dominated the movie Tombstone and I doubt anyone can ever best his performance! "I'm your Huckleberry!"

This is an amazing movie and all the actors were great but Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday stole the show!
