I love Vals role as Doc Holiday. The most impressionable moment was when he was dying and when he said to Wyatt. There is no normal life, just life. So true, injustice was done. We love you Val.

Kilmer’s Doc Holliday deserves an acknowledgement. The only other film in the group of nominees was Jack Nicholson’s Colonel Jessep. Damn shame

Val was robbed. He is incredible in Tombstone. Give the man recognition. "Doc" is my favorite roll in all movies, and I am 70!

He was amazing and embodied the role of a gentleman and doctor, turned outlaw- gambler. The death scene was touching and all the catch phrases memorable. "If you want to play a game for blood, I'm your Huckleberry."

I know this petition is years old, but truer words have never been spoken. It was an travesty that Kilmer was overlooked for the Best Supporting Actor Award for his role in Tombstone. Perhaps my most favorite character in any film ever. How sad they got it wrong. Val if you ever read any of this... We know you deserved it.

My bf just had me watch Tombstone for the first time. We thought for sure he must have taken home the Oscar. It is disgraceful that he wasn’t even nominated. Nominated anywhere. He was perfection!

"Tombstone" was very underrated.
Kurt Russell, Dana Delany, and Val Kilmer were great. But people are still quoting Doc Holiday 24 years later.

I think that Val Kilmer was the greatest actor in Tombstone. He made Tombstone what it was. 20 years is coming up since Tombstone was made and it's time for Val Kilmer to have his Oscar.

He was outstanding in his role as Doc Holiday . Its a absolute travesty that he didn't receive even a single nomination ! One reason was the genre or category that being said it showed a very myopic panel to snub the movie because it was a era that was not to popular with the people who nominate the actors for the awards . I thought it went on acting ability not the flavor of the year for that particular year . Shame on all of you and your biases !
