My son and his friends need a safe environment to ride BMX, skateboards and scooters. I had to drive 30 min to Marana for the kids to ride in a skatepark. Please consider our children to keep them safe and occupied.

Yea this is an awesome idea and we are always being told to find a different place to skate. And this would be a safe and fun solution.

I just moved here from Texas. It's a shame to know the closest park is 20 miles away. Would be nice if we had one here

I wanna learn how to skate and not have to drive 45 minutes to get harassed by punks sounds great.

I was born in Tucson az and have spent my entire life here, I started skateboarding when I was about 9 and my parents started taking me to continental ranch skatepark. That's where I spent almost all of my childhood and as I got older I got bored of skateboarding and switched to bmx. I love riding my bike and it is my life. But there really is a major lack in bmx support in Tucson. When conti first opened it was skateboards only, santarita is skateboards only, and so is Redrock. Lucky for us we had Ian to build us premises but that's almost 25 min away from my house and commuting there is a bare. A skatepark in oro valley would benifit the whole community, it would be a way shorter commute for me and many of my fellow bikers. The bmx scene is getting bigger and bigger each year and without an adiquite numbers of parks kids are forced to ride on the streets and risk the danger of being hit by a car. A skate park in Oro valley would benift everyone from skateboards to scooter riders to bikers and even the Dailey commuter who doesn't want to hit a kid riding his bike on the streets because he doesn't have a skatepark to go to.

We visit my in-laws every year in Oro Valley and have to drive so far for my son to skate. He's an avid skater and competes. I know there are kids in family friendly Oro Valley. Why no skate park?
Never happened smh
