The summer students of Oak Ridge National Lab feel that it is unfortunate that after being provided once with cookies, never again have they been provided at the conclusion of required functions. We believe that the initial offering was an attempt to persuade us into attending future functions. Cookies have never once been provided since, and we ask that the situation be looked into.
I have been walking past the breakroom hoping for a sign that my message was received but the tables remain empty. This started as a search for a simple snack yet the silence from the organizers is growing louder by the day.

Seeing this much energy behind the cookie issue shows that I am not the only one who feels misled by those first few meetings. The momentum we have built makes me confident that the administration will finally have to address our concerns.

I was looking forward to those cookies at every meeting. Very disappointed.

The meetings are so long. We really need snacks to keep going.

It seems petty but it really makes a difference during a long day in the lab. Just a small box of cookies would be nice.
