Peter Findlay is officially receiving the Order of British Columbia. The committee finally recognized what we knew all along about his impact on our community. Thank you for showing them that his legacy is far too significant to ignore.

Final supporters
As you probably know, Peter Findlay is retiring after a long teaching career. I am nominating Mr. Findlay for the Order of British Columbia for all the great things he has done for the children of Vancouver, many of whom are no longer children.
I want to include a list of signatures from former students, parents and co-workers whose lives were enriched through Mr. Findlay's love of music, his dedication and his ability to make learning fun through the computer software he created himself.
If you have happy memories of early morning band sessions, or
learning about B.C. through the B.C. Game, creating animations with Fliptales
or caroling in the halls at Wolfe please sign this petition and
pass on the link to anyone else whose life was made a little bit better through
his encouragement and enthusiasm.

The bureaucrats at the provincial government haven't acknowledged this nomination yet. I am gathering every one of your stories to force them to look at the massive impact Peter Findlay had on our community.

The bureaucrats at the Honours Committee need to see this outpouring of support because Peter Findlay deserves this recognition for his decades of service. We are building real momentum and these officials can no longer ignore the impact one dedicated teacher had on thousands of lives.

He made school actually fun. We were so lucky to have him at Wolfe. Enjoy your retirement sir!!
Mr. Findlay was the best! I still remember the BC game and everything he taught us at Wolfe. He really deserves this honor.
Absolute legend. Those morning band sessions were the only reason I made it to school on time. Thanks for everything Peter!
Such a kind man. My kids still talk about his music class and the fun projects he made for them. He shaped so many lives.
THE BC GAME WAS EVERYTHING. honestly he got me into computers back in the day. absolute hero.

Being taught music tracker software in Findlay's music class would have a profound influence on me, albeit that didn't manifest until I was much older. But I'll never forget his instruction - it helped make me the musician I am today.
