This is a petition and a plea at the same time to all video game developers and publishers world wide.

Cut scenes in video games are often used to narrate the story. These predefined video clips don't typically provide any interaction possibilities, but push the story forward between levels of the game. Gaming forums are filled with gamers complaining about being forced to watch long cut scenes repeatedly and not given a choice to skip the short movies.

In the short term history I have suffered while being forced to watch again and again same cut scenes in popular new games such as Destiny, Far Cry 4, Assassins Creed Unity, Little Big Planet 3 just to name a few. While I truly appreciate the artistic effort put into cut scenes these days too much of the same thing is just cruel. Based on the nerd rage on various gaming forums I am clearly not alone in this.

Please, Video Game Industry, hear our pleas and provide a universal possibility to skip each and every cut scene in each and every game. I wouldn't mind at all not having the choice when the scene is played out for the first time, but on subsequent play throughs there must be an option (the industry standard seems to be clicking twice triangle on PlayStation family or button Y on Xbox) to skip the cut scene.

(on a side note: this is probably the very definition of a first world problem, but solving this particular issue shouldn't be hard to accomplish)
