That is a myth, I grew up in this county and attended two rival schools, and had no issues, just like many other students have done for decades past.

The bottom line is, Shenandoah County does not like change. This county is stuck in the 1970's and 1980's. I hear the same old stuff year after year and not a single person is going to change a thing. Once this at one time farming county accepts change things will get better.

We used them as well and for many years might I add. We never had an issue or problem with the trailers and I'm sure our kids won't either.

Have staff member's children go to the schools within their boundaries. We all have valid reasons for our children to stay at the school they are currently in or move to the new schools. I seriously hope this does not happen but if it does then the children should go to the school boundary they live in not where their parents work.

I believe we need to defer this decision until we have all the information we need to make an informed decision. Boundary enforcement –they are not doing this now, how can we have confidence the new boundary lines will be enforced? Total cost including transportation, unknown at this time. School superintendent should enforce current boundary lines and correct bus routes so students are attending school in the district they live. This would be more effective and efficient in balancing student capacity in our schools.

i believe that it is wrong to just make kids switch schools when they have been at one school there whole life. it is also a bad idea because there will be fights because of rival students going to a different school

I have compared all the numbers, the difference between this year's enrollment at SHES and next year's is only 13 children. The attendance this year is 934 and the projected attendance next year is 921. How is that helping. The numbers for ALES are 621 in attendance this year and a projected attendance of 734 next year. How does adding 108 children and bringing the capacity to 97.9%(the highest of all SCPS elementary schools when it was the lowest) help the children's education? We are taking a school that was slightly under the targeted percentage of 85% that is running smoothly and efficiently and making it bust at the seems like the other two SCPS elementary schools. This boundary adjustment doesn't help any child's education, it just possibly hurts the education of children at ALES.

There is plenty of room on each campus to expand. Monies spent on studies could have been used toward fixing the problem. Teaching to the test has apparently shut down the creative factor of the brain. My Grandchildren moved out of one district to be in another and they are much happier and better adjusted. Can't just pick up a house and move to stay in the same district!

with the boundary adjustment solution, the burden is being placed on a small number of children. Can we explore increasing capacity where it is needed instead? This adjustment won't solve the problem

Please defer this decision. Nothing makes sense and everything is being rushed. This is our children's lives and ours.

I think this has been tax payers money wasted! Why are they j such a big hurry to do this? There are other option that would be easier on the STUDENTS! After all isn't that what the School Board says is important.

I believe that the school board needs to think about this plan before implimenting it.
