In 8th grade gym at CSUS, we are on a unit called project adventure, in which there are some games that include a lot of touching. Activities like the box game and the spiderweb game can be really uncomfortable for a lot of people. There are people who being touched in general, and being touched makes them really anxious. Other people would rather not be touched in some of the places they were touched when we played the games- when my class played the spiderweb game, there were people who grabbed others chests and other body parts, at the encouragement of the teacher. This petition is to give people the option to opt out of doing these types of lessons with lots of touching.
