This petition is being presented in opposition to the Application for BridgeMill Master Plan Amendment. The application is overly broad in its responses for the Days and Hours of the operations, as well as no limitations on the size of the events. There has been no at large public discussion from the BridgeMill Community Association Board ( the applicant as authorized by the owner, BridgeMill Athletic Club ) with its membership.

im still waiting for someone from the board to actually explain why these changes are being pushed through without any real community input. it feels like they want to keep us in the dark but i am digging into the meeting records to see what i can find.

wow i cant believe how much this has taken off in such a short time. its honestly so encouraging to see everyone coming together because it shows that we arent alone in wanting actual answers about these plans.

Opposed. We do not want to live near a likely to be public entertainment venue located INSIDE our neighborhood with homeowners having no control over how often and how many people/what kinds of events can be brought in throughout the year. Anyone remember the pool party fiasco?

Oppose. The purpose of the HOA (per our governing documents) is to maintain common property and enforce covenants. In the documents, the club is a separate entity and is the entity that provides amenities, events and entertainment. Under the terms of the park easement agreement, HOA has deposited funds into an account jointly owned with the club. Essentially, the HOA has entered into a partnership with the club without a vote of the homeowners or changing of the governing documents.

There’s already to much traffic and speeding going on and this will only add to the issue

We have past evidence of the the type of events and magnitude of attendance (eg summer public pool party) that can occur when such ambiguous language is used in their amendment. There’s a line between neighborhood and local community benefit versus full scale commercial use. There are better places in the city of Canton outside of a neighborhood community to host broad public attractions.

BMAC has had cash flow issues that have led to BMCA buying access to BMAC property with an increase in dues. Before we sign off on an expansion of BMAC property we need to have solid answers about what this means when it comes to our dues increasing to cover the construction costs and what sort of access we will be purchasing through our investment to this new addition.
