The South Orangetown Central School District is still ignoring our concerns while parents continue to reach out with horror stories about their children being left unattended. We are currently organizing a group to confront the school board directly because their silence on this safety crisis is absolutely unacceptable.

The school board can no longer ignore this groundswell of outrage against their reckless schedule change. They pushed this plan without regard for our children and now they have to face the community they tried to steamroll.

not cool. middle schoolers left alone? bad idea.
Ridiculous decision. Who thought this was okay? Fixing things that arent broken again.
PLEASE DONT DO THIS. So many parents work early and cant supervise them like this. Think about the safety of these kids.
My kids arent ready for that kind of responsibility in the morning. This is just asking for trouble.
Total disaster waiting to happen. The board needs to rethink this whole plan before someone gets hurt.

As a working mom this is a nightmare. I cant be in two places at once and my kids need supervision. Leave the schedule how it was.
