WAI 1308 is a claim for interested parties concerning the Takahiwai Dam. My Whaea, together with 2 brothers gave 40 acres of their when for The Marsden Point Refinery on the understanding.. 1. That the Takahiwai settlement be supplied water free of charge. 2. If ever the dam becomes surplus to requirements ALL the said whenua is returned back to the Uri O Te Teira Pirihi. Both promises were not actioned. Today, Nga Uri O Te Teira Pirihi continue the fight. We oppose Te Runanga O Ngati Whatua seeking claims over our "Taonga Tuku Iho" This includes WAI 745.
