The town of Scituate needs a significant role and voice in any decisions on the fate of the reservoir. Any move that puts current and future town revenue at jeopardy or narrowly constrains it runs the real risk of impoverishing our community. The General Assembly stuck a dagger in the heart our the town in the last century; it cannot be repeated to bail out Providence, which has already created a multigenerational milestone around the next of most of Rhode Island.

The possible ramifications to this bill make me cringe...taxes, control of the PW properties/building rights....what happens with respect to these issues? Where is our representation in this as the people who will be effected the most? The thought is appalling.

With a tax increase already in the works, who will be able to live in Scituate.
We all need to work as a team, support our town council and all do what is best for Scituate. Let our voices be heard!

To have the city own one third of the town and not be responsible for taxes is not right or fair to the town. This is a bad bill.

This bill is very unfair to the residents of Scituate. This is property that is owned and taxes need to be paid. The residents of the town do not negotiate for "payments in lieu of taxes", neither should PWSB.

I oppose House Bill 6122. It is extremely biased and especially unfair to the residents of the town of Scituate. The exemption of such a large amount of land from taxation could result in the failure of our school system and the demise of the community.

Providence water supply should pay taxes just like every other business in Scituate! And no " special" representation.

It is entirely unreasonable for a Scituate representative to not be part of the Board of Directors and further ill advised to leave such substantial financial matters subject only to "good faith" negotiations. I oppose this bill.
