Opposition to proposed Edgewood Estates Development

The special assessments on this project should paid by the developer to pass off to the future homeowner, if desired. These should not be borne by the neighbors as they do not benefit from these improvements to their property.

I dont feel that we should have to pay more in special assessments to help build a new levee that we dont need. The one there now works just fine and to take it down and bulld a new one that we would have to pay for makes no sense.Also the road into Edgewood is not made for the increased traffic the new housing area would make for that road as another way in and out.The increase traffic would hurt the quiet neighborhoods we have up there.WE should not have to pay more in taxes and special assesments in making a development that only the developer will make money on.

We are opposed to the development .It would create a ghetto and cause too much traffic clutter versus the type of neighborhood it would be in. Any dike improvement should be a cost to the developer

Because of the climatic wet cycle, the water table in this area is high, sump pumps run frequently, and houses are settling (requiring foundation work). It is not prudent to place 60 additional houses in this vicinity.

Please rethink this development. It goes against current city planning for flood protection and negatively impacts our neighborhood.

I am opposed to the Edgewood Estates Development being developed when south Fargo neighborhoods are being bought out at this same elevation.

I feel we shouldnt have to pay additional specials for them to build a better dike, when they shouldnt be building on a flood plain.

Paying for the improved dike when it is already functional for us is ridiculous. Let's not change what has been working for this area.
This development is not a good decision.

The current designation for agricultural land is just fine by me. It should not be changed. And there should be no further development. Any such development would negatively impact our neighborhood.
If it is to be developed it should be developed as a site for community supported agriculture (CSA) which could be an asset to the neighborhood.

Our family does not want increased traffic in neighborhood and this development will ruin the quiet and serene setting we have come to enjoy with the recent purchase of our home. The setup of this neighborhood cannot handle a major development like this without punishing current homeowners.
