5 Hesperus Circle
I am adamantly opposed to the approval any special permits that increase:
- the height (to 40 ft. Average from 30 ft. Average)
- the population density and subsequent septic requirements (to 6 residential units from 2; 10 bedrooms from 6).
- the footprint of the new structure
Approval of a development of this magnitude for Magnolia Square is significantly out of character for its surroundings and would set a terrible precedent for future over-sized development.
The current Zoning ordinances, especially height are appropriate and should be adhered to as written.
I am in favor of development that remains on the former footprint, is of equal character and brings the square back to life with its mixed-use eating establishment and residential units.

Pls, pls, pls - do not allow this monstrosity be built. Go back to the drawing board and redesign with a building with the previous aesthetics. Magnolia has seaside charm and should remain a quaint New England village.

The proposed building needs a much bigger lot than this corner in Magnolia square. I am hoping the City Council will stick to the plans that were carefully put in place to protect the neighborhood and historical significance of this area.

While I now live in Durham, NH, I grew up on Norman Ave in Magnolia. I can't even begin to imagine the negative impact that building would have on the neighborhood. Please don't allow this proposal to pass.
