Opposition to Escalating Rate Increases by Tampa Electric Company (TECO)

I agree. Teco and FPSC has to be more transparent with any rate increase or fee. Better communication is required. More communication with customers before increases are approved.

Rates are too high , and absolutely unacceptable.

Highest TECO bills ever...in 10+ yrs at same property...keeping AC 78-79 should not be $300/month! Unemployed & health issues these rate hikes are outrageous!

I am a single mom of two teenagers. Our monthly TECO bill is close to $600 vs about $400 last year. We’re not doing anything different in reference to our usage. In fact, we adjusted our AC to a higher temperature, and try to be more efficient with our usage if lights and gas. What is going on?!?! This has to stop. We feel so helpless because we have no choice but to accept it

This is getting insane. This something needs to be done about this people cannot afford to live

TECO has had price increase upwards of 60% in 5 years. We the people should not have to pay for storm insurance for TECO just as they don't pay for our storm insurance on our houses. This is unacceptable and the Tampa commission is allowing it to happen.

I don't agree to raise prices

Emera owns TECO, Emera is Canadian. TECO needs to be forced to sell itself back to native Floridan owners who live in the service area. TECO is Emera's profit center, sending Floridian money back to Canada. This should be stopped.

The cost of electricity is out of control. It's time for the Florida Public Service Commission to step up and help out the taxpayers.
