Opposition to Development on 156 and 28th

My granddaughter is a student here and I am frequently at the school. Space is already cramped! I understand that due to construction much of the already very limited play area will not be available for the next couple of YEARS. The construction will provide space for present normal growth and NOT for lots more rental or sales units. The situation is so unfair to the children and also the staff. As a retired teacher I shudder to think of the stress this will put on the people involved in the day to day operation of the school. Our children and our teachers and school district 36 employees deserve better. Please reconsider!

I oppose!

As a resident of this area, I'm opposed to this development proposal as it would create an incredible increase in activity in the area and put a burden on already congested Croydon Dr. It is out of character for this neighborhood and it is not welcomed by the local residents.

Area is already overpopulated. This re zoning would drastically change the look and feel of our community

Opposed.

We’ve already hit critical density in this area. Where would the additional children go to school? How much additional traffic would new residents bring?? There’s only so much growth the area can handle.

Local infrastructure needs massive improvement before a development of this type can even be considered.

There are TOO many residents living in Whiterock/South surrey and the city needs to shift focus from an industrial/commercial lens to a family oriented people lens.

I’m against this project

There are already too many multi-family homes in this region. The road infrastructure is really poor. The city is not contributing to parking space. Most of the road to become single Lane in one direction. People have to pull over just to cross each other.. I strongly opposed to any multi-family development south of 56th Avenue for now.

The schools in this area most certainly cannot handle this type of residential development not to mention the disruption to traffic flow.

This area cannot handle the proposed level of density. The local school has already put portables on the gravel field so despite over 700 kids in the school they have only half a playing field.

This area is already overcrowded and the traffic infrastructure overburdened. Adding this development would cause nothing but problems

This development will cause headaches to existing residents in the neighbourhood. This area is not ready for such high population density

This development would be an awful addition to our neighborhood. We don’t have space for more kids in our schools. The roads are already very congested. It’s one thing to add a townhouse complex. At least it would fit with the neighborhood, and would be way less residents then what is being proposed. In all honesty, no additional development should be allowed in this area without more schools.

Absolutely NO to this huge development! The infrastructure CANNOT handle it. We are congested enough. Please put safety and quality of life first before profit!!!!

I strongly oppose to this proposal

As a resident of this area I am strongly opposed to the increased traffic and stresses on our already stressed schools. City of Surrey needs to wake up and stop this absurd development proposal on land that is zoned for Agriculture

The back of our house and our new borns son bedroom faces all of this nonsense and we are constantly having to clean our windows and wipe dirt and dust that sticks to them from the tractors constantly moving around dirt piles. We are not happy about this and this needs to be stopped immediately for the health and safety of our child. Its summer time and the window needs to be opened.

Make this a green space such as a park, instead of a new development. Strongly oppose this.
