Every hygienist feels they are the best, and I want my husband to continue to receive the best care possible- that is being cared for by me.

I am a Perio hygienist and if my spouse would require Perio care he would need to leave town. That would not meet his human needs for care. Further he would likely just not seek treatment. This amendment does not make sense.

this is ridiculous. In my office my husband would get excellent care and services for just the cost of lab and parts. however this new proposal would mean more money out of pocket for no good reason that I can see?

I am a dental assistant and feel people should be able to choose who they want to care for there teeth and them selves

I like to think that access to care could include those closest to Health Care Professionals.

Even tho i have no spouse i strongly believe in allowing our profession to choose who we treat and not allowing insurance companies to dictate whom we treat

That is the recommendation, yes! Or what about dental coverage? Most offices provide dental treatment at low or no cost to families of their staff. If there is no dental insurance plan this could be a large cost to the family.

What about smaller communities where you are the only hygienist in the office/community? Will the spouse/partner have to go to another dental office/community for tx?
