Pls man. How old are the students? Even the youngest is 13 yrs for sec 1. They are no young anymore. They should be able to protect and use their brains to think for their safety themselves. 这么大的一个人了, 怎么不让孩子独立呢? 整天还要父母来左右伺候? 那孩子会不长大呀? Scholars and leaders? If u dont let students be independent, whats the point of leader? A leader have to be able to be independent first to be able to lead others.
Also, just because of a few parents complaining, must you make such a fuss about it and punish everyone making everyone stay back? What about the other 800++ students and especially the sec 4s?? Is this even reasonable??

It will be very hard for students to queue and eat in the time spend of just 30min . 30min is not enough for all the students in the school to queue up for food and eat to be in tiem for their ssp

I think the students should be able to go outside to eat with their friends. Because us students already eat our canteen food everyday for recess and i would like to eat out of school once in a while

It is the student's responsibility for their safety and to come back on time for ssp. why implement the rule when it causes more problems like having the whole school squeezing in the canteen just to get food. people who want to buy food before ssp will probably not even have the chance due to Long queues. Also, the canteen vendors might run out of food due to the increase in the number of students. where are the students going to eat if the food in canteen has been sold out?

you always said we were young adults and would treat us like one. but how is this shown while you ban us from eating outside:( and this rule brings a lot of inconvenience. for example, birthday celebrations. eg a sec 4 birthday happen to be on a friday and she has ssp before her cca starts at 2:30. the juniors who are part of the celebration do not have ssp and are free from 12:30 to 2:30 but yet they are forbidden to go out to buy it. one way is to wait until cca is over, which would alr be around 6 then we go nex and celebrate. what if our parents not happp, then call school? then more trouble:/. you ofc will say, buy the cake in the prev day and bring it on the day itself. but have you spared a thought about those who take buses or trains, they have to squeeze into a crowded area while carrying that bulky box. how inconvenient:(. worst of all, you may even say 'don't celebrate'. but you wanted us to promote bonding! have you seen how united we are when a group of us sing a birthday song in the canteen, midway the rest of the zhonghuarians in the canteen sing along and clap together? are you willing to end that?

We should have our own freedom. Besides, it is after school so why even bother creating this bs rule that we have to follow. Even if we stay in school we can only eat the food we ate during recess. It is getting dull as time flies by.

It is really very saddening for such a rule to be created. This breaks my heart because as a graduating student, I had bonded many times with my friends through lunch at a comfortable setting aka nex or at the opposite coffee shop. Also I'm so very sure that the F&B outlets at nex will earn lesser profit due to lesser students going there to enjoy life. And also what about the opposite coffee shop,bubble tea shop and 7-11? Won't their business go downhill? They will certainly shed tears! Also, I'm sure most of our zhonghuarians had made friends with the uncles and aunties opposite the school, this is Bonding Singapore! How can you ruin this important concept from social studies,a subject taught in this school? And I'm also very sure the reason why that parent complain to the school is because his or her child is just rebellious and didn't follow his or her rules. So is that our problem? No. Instead of punishing the school, it would be more ideal to punish him or her instead. I know the school is trying to avoid annoying phone calls from kiasu parents but this is certainly not the best way of handling things. We also have to think of our canteen vendors. They wake up earlier than most of our students in the morning to come school to prepare the food. If you implement such a rule, it means they have to stay up to 3.30 at most just to provide our restricted students with food. It would be so tiring for them. They aren't young too. So why not we just remove the rule and lead a happier life without complains from students ringing at ur ears everyday?
