This project is unacceptable in the Historic district.

This is a poster child for the need to protect long-established residential neighborhoods from voracious and insatiable commercial interests. Our neighborhoods deserve to thrive without concern for enfringement by developers who do not live in them.

Nothing about this potential conversion of 38 Hubbard Street offers anything positive to the Historic Green, the neighbors or the people of Glastonbury that enjoy the beauty of the Green. The developer requires this level of overdevelopment/population density to make the project profitable for the developer. I am trusting that our elected and appointed officials at the TPZ and the Town Council will do the right thing for the Green and those of us that respect the Historic character of the Green and the neighboring Historic District and reject the application for rezoning and conversion of 38 Hubbard Street.
