Opposing the Removal of the Higgins Lake Dam “Evaluating the Hydrological and Ecological Impacts of Removing the Higgins Lake-Level Control Structure” [Dam] is a $100,000 study currently underway. The study is partially funded by the Higgins Lake Foundation (HLF), and is sponsored and coordinated by the Higgins Lake Property Owners Association (HLPOA) with no direct involvement of any lakefront owners, or lake users outside those organizations.
