Final supporters
We are opposed to the plan for the construction of a fully automated car wash and to its hours of operation, which are from 7:00am to 9:00pm, 7 days a week.
We are opposed for the following reasons: 1) Farnham Elementary School is too close to this project site, and traffic entering and exiting this site on Woodard is a danger to parents and children that walk and bicycle by this site to and from school; 2) it is a public and private nuisance; 3) the odors of the chemicals used at the car wash and the increased exhaust fumes the added traffic will bring into our neighborhood; 4) the traffic and noise studies do not take into account traffic when school is in session and the noise for the second story apartments and two story homes; 5) higher crime rates will increase which residents will have to face with the addition of a buffer wall; 6) higher accident rates on roads directly leaving the property will increase 5) traffic from the Car Wash will exit into unprotected bike lanes. This project impedes our access to the adjacent businesses that we will use on a daily basis during construction and when the car wash is operable.
We need as many people as possible to express your opposition to the Car Wash and why you don’t want it (I.E. Too Close to school and Children walking to and from school, increased traffic, noise, air pollution, traffic from Car Wash exiting into unprotected bike lanes, etc.) .

I have been hearing from so many neighbors who are worried about the safety of children walking near the school site. It is clear this concern belongs to the whole community and your shared knowledge about the local traffic patterns is helping to build a much stronger case than I ever could on my own.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many neighbors have spoken up about this project. It is your collective concern that is truly driving this momentum and keeping our community safe. This response shows just how much we care about the streets our children walk every day.

According to me the car wash should not be at the place near by the school as it leads to more traffic and huge wastage of water and spoiles the environment by its harmful chemicals. Especially in front of the store from where every citizen prefer to get there household merchandise it can leads to an accident. I don't prefer a car wash as it also leads to noise pollution.
Many of my neighbors, including myself, disagreed to this car wash for so many different reasons, where to start? Crime rise, pedestrian safety violation, too close to apartments, comes off on a busy street, traffic increase, and very close to a children’s school. I don’t know why this car wash idea has come back but please get rid of it!
I used to go to this gas station all the time, but ever since the new owners came in, I noticed there were a lot more tweekers and drunks hanging around the back of the mini store. The owner doesn’t really do anything about it. Would never support these people to build a car wash here- I’m pretty sure there would be more weirdos in the area
I live in the neighborhood behind the property, and I don’t feel safe having the car wash coming off of Woodard, because of all the elementary school kids who walk down that drive way. San Jose drivers are careless as it is. Opposing the car wash !!
Remember fighting against this car wash back in 2018- too close to an elementary school, to other businesses, and comes off on a one way road, that already has a bunch of accidents on it. Plus there are apartment complexes like 50 feet away. It also has an unprotected propane tank as well as a telephone like that has been hit and knocked down multiple times. It’s just too problematic of a location
No carwash
This is not good for the surroundings as it pollute the area and it also cause noise pollution . It should not be open in residential area.

I live in the apartment complex on the other side of the street and it is sad to see this car wash come back into play. At least once or twice a month there is an accident on that street, police isn’t called because we don’t have enough officers for minor accidents, but just knowing that tells me there will absolutely be pedestrian casualties in the area. Please don’t let this car wash get made
