We, Citizens of the Quad Cities, believe that a Ban on Smoking in Public Locations Near Children in the Quad Cities, is NOT detrimental to the well-being or the health of our community’s youth. We, as Adult Smokers in the Quad Cities should be free to visit and smoke wherever our TAX dollars are used to fund Public locations or events as free Americans and taxing paying adults.

Our Youth in our community are exposed to negative influences everyday and it’s the JOB of the parent and other organization to EDUCATE our youth on the negative impact of said negative influences not to restrict the RIGHTS of anyone basic off of a personal belief. Moreover, if waste receptacles were to be provided in public areas the amount of waste would be reduced and the impact on our environment do to smoking would reduce as well

Therefore, it is proposed to oppose the Ban on Smoking in Public Locations near Children in the Quad Cities.
