If they build this, it will destroy our property value, ruin our sense of community, and create dismay amongst all of us.

Oppose water reservoir in Vernon Hills Park

This proposed reservoir and pump station would destroy the one green park area we have in this small and manicured community. It would be devastating.

There are several disadvantages of reservoirs. The most obvious is that they require large amounts of land, this is our park that we xan enjoy the frsh air abd view. Stop putting there!!!

I feel there is already too much destruction of our natural landscaping in Vernon Hills. This structure would truly ruin the beauty of my Carriage townhome neighborhood. Completely oppose this build in the park

This area was already rejected as a site 2 years ago. The community will continue to strongly communicate as to the poor location for this huge monstrosity. Do not build this reservoir next to this park. It will be unsitely and danferous to the community.

A park is not the appropriate location for a large concrete structure. Many other options exist that would not impact green space, residents and property values. Since the Parks Department is even not in favor of using Carriage Green Park for the watershed, I second their opinion.

Please DO NOT go ahead with this project. We oppose this project 100%. We believe that the construction of a water reservoir and booster pump station in Carriage Green Park is NOT a suitable fit. We respectfully request that the Lake County Board eliminate Carriage Green Park as a location for a water reservoir and booster pump station. PLEASE reconsider this project and remove Carriage Green Part as a location

I am opposed to the water reservoir and pumping station in Carriage Green Park. The park is our own mini nature sanctuary where you can see birds, butterflies, and flowers, in a quiet peaceful setting in my own neighborhood. I walk through the park 2-3 times each day to have some peace and quiet. In addition, I fear that my property value will never rise up to the value that I paid for my condo 17 years ago. It has still not bounced back from the recession of 2007-2008. The installation of a functional and utilitarian (I.e., not aesthetically pleasing) reservoir at the entrance to our neighborhood will not be attractive to future buyers. I want the Lake County Board to ask themselves this question: Would I want this in my neighborhood or in my local park? My guess is your answer would be no and that is how you should vote - this does not belong in a residential neighborhood. Thank you. Sarah Snyder

I absolutely oppose this project and a long term lake county resident, I feel this is THE worst possible decision. Please, please reconsider a different location. This is a small park and we desire to keep it like that. Please change the decision and do not instal the reservoir - preserve the park

Oppose the building of the watershed in the park. There are other sites in Lake County that could be used.

Carriage Green Park is an oasis for all residents. During the day it is perfect for walks or a picnic; at night it is one of the best area locations for stargazing. The proposed Water Reservoir would destroy all the above. Please relocate!
