Please sign this petition to oppose the development of Villa Bellaggio in Cornville. If approved, this will create a mini city in the rural area of Cornville and cause disruption throughout the Verde Valley. This development will add more than 6,000 residents to an area now rural which will disrupt the environment and natural wildlife. Traffic from this development will gridlock Cornville, Cottonwood, and Sedona while stretching our services such as law enforcement, fire protection, schools, and hospitals beyond their ability to respond. Please stand with the people of Cornville and keep this as a tranquil place to live.

I honestly never imagined so many people would care about our quiet little corner of the world, but seeing this momentum grow makes me realize we really aren't alone in wanting to protect these hills. It feels like the tide is finally turning against this massive development project even though I keep thinking about all the wildlife that will lose their homes if we fail. We truly have to keep this pressure up because the local planners need to see that we are not going to just roll over.

There are better places for the type of development planned. People don't want to become the next Phoenix. Most in this area like their small town feel and the beauty of the nature in the surrounding areas.

I strongly oppose this development. Has anyone driven through Cottonwood at rush hour lately, or driven to Sedona during the peak of the day? Roads are bumper-to-bumper already. Most people came here to get away from this type of development. There is other land more appropriate for such a development along I-17. The beauty of the land is what we all love. Quality over quantity.....ARE WE REALLY WILLING TO SACRIFICE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE MANY FOR THE PROFIT OF THE FEW?????

Has anyone even thought about where all the water is going to come from with a project like this? We need to stop this zoning change NOW before it's too late

I feel that the traffic will be out of control. I walk, ride bike, and horses. Very few people slow down or move over. It is dangerous as is. Head on collisions with wrong way drivers. Yes, right here because of alcohol and drugs. We do not have enough qualified help for fire, police, hospitals, ambulances, etc. Crime rate. This will be like Dutch brothers in Phx. Out of control on Central and Camelback. They are closing and moving. Once Bellagio goes in there it will be like a can of worms. You open and you cannot close. And you cannot close, only keep building. How about destroyed water from humans bathing, etc in Oak Creek and Spring Creek. The water is contaminated.. How about litter, or garbage this community will accumulate. This is a heavenly place, semi safe, do not destroy God's paradise for greed and money....Jacque'

We do not need or want high density development in a rural community. If this is done then the community will no longer be rural, who is going to pay of all of services a development needs.
