It is not so much as the Trust Board Entity as it is the people who have been there for far too long. I say they have become self serving and they need to go. I do not support the treaty mandate in its current state nor do I have faith in the trust board members. They have done alot of damage to Tangata whenua of Gt Barrier Island by signing us off to a false hapu of which I am taking back to the Maori Land Court. I am of HikiHiki and Makiwahine descent through Ranginui and my direct line in through Ngapoo, coming down to Pita Kino Davis married Ngapera Taiawa from the senior line of Haua Rangihokaia's son. Be aware that the crown is trying to destroy again through trust entities. We must stay strong. My family who are very large shareholders of Motairehe will also be signing as well. Kia Kaha everyone, kia aroha.

I am an uri of Ngati Kahu o Torongare, Te Parawhau, Te Waiariki and do not support Ngatiwai's claim over the Whangarei Harbour. We are mana whenua and our tupuna are on the land. Ngatiwai does not have not met with our hapu on this issue and do not have exclusive rights to our Harbour, the lands and its resources.

I do not support the trust board in its current structure negotiating or settling our claims. We need to be mindful that we the beneficiaries have recieved nothing from a 20 year old fisheries settlement. I will be submitting a more detailed explanation to OTS. I do support a review of the trust deed and a revised trust structure that enables benefits for all.

I do not support a trust board that dictates to the people what is best for them without true consultation. They purport to represent the people and have failed at any honest consultation to start with. They have blocked our young people from attending any hui with our kaumatua and kuia and seperated them deceitfully. We have reaped nothing from the Ngatiwai Fisheries why would we trust them with our settlements. I have grown up believing that Ngatikahu O Torongare and Patuharakeke had mana whenua and mana moana o te ahupupurangi. Coming from the tribe Ngati Tu Pre Ngapuh. As the only Marae that i know of around the harbour is Ngararatunua, Toitio, Parawhau and Patuharakeke . im a bit rusty on my Whakapapa but have been told this since I was young and the story of hakeroa the tamure from the harbour but cant ever remember Ngatiwai mentioned in any of the korero ive heard.
