If a 16.5% increase is proposed, I feel the residents are entitled to a line item breakdown of usage for the funds.

This proposed tax increase is not necessary, and way too much. We have new revenue coming in from all the newer buildings, and that should be sufficient to serve the needs of NBV. The reasons given for the proposed increase are ridiculous!

I just bought a property in NBV, this really hurt financially, and I won't be able to pay, so I will have to sell. How do you, as a community representation, think this will help us, your supporters??

Absolutely not. There is no justifiable reason for any increase, let alone 16,5%.

Too big of a increase in tax with not significant / important enough reasons that would increase the value of the city and our properties, in my opinion.

I don't agree with such a huge increase. We already taking a big hit on our wallet after hurricane Irma.

NBV has huge reserve funds already. Where's the storm clean up on our streets? They are still littered with trees and debris after 2 weeks is not acceptable. This area has nothing to show for the countless tax increases over the years. Improve the area with more cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, markets and shopping. Add a small fee toll for the non-residents driving thru 79th street daily for your "needed" tax increase instead of asking residents to pay it.
