This project does not make sense for this location on any level. Commercial development in itself is not inherently bad; it's just bad in the propsed spot.

The owner wants it sold. Perfect location.

This oversized, chain hotel may be beneficial to the town's finances, but it is not in keeping with Falmouth's character and the latter takes precedence.

Downtown Falmouth is already choked with traffic we don't need more. This project is too large and totally out of character for our downtown area.

There are better options for that parcel of land at 556 Main Street; among them are affordable housing and affordable elderly housing.
