Permanently
close Marine Fire Station in Middlesbrough town centre
Cut 25% of full-time firefighter jobs — 130 in total
This will lead to:
Slower response times, with fire engines taking longer to reach you in your
time of need
Less specialist equipment to deal with your emergency
Fewer home and school fire safety visits to help keep you and your children
safe
A significantly increased risk to both the public and firefighters alike
Do you feel safer now than three years ago?

closing the middlesbrough station is a terrible idea. it serves so many people. really hope they listening to us.
NEVER mess with fire safety. response times matter when every second counts. wake up cleveland!!!
My brother is a firefighter and the pressure on these guys is already high enough. Stop the cuts now.
130 jobs gone is crazy. who is going to show up when my house is on fire? absolute madness.
Leave our fire station alone! we need them close by in case of real trouble. dont cut corners on our lives.
