Cleveland Fire Authority is considering plans to:

Permanently close Marine Fire Station in Middlesbrough town centre
Cut 25% of full-time firefighter jobs — 130 in total

This will lead to:

Slower response times, with fire engines taking longer to reach you in your time of need
Less specialist equipment to deal with your emergency
Fewer home and school fire safety visits to help keep you and your children safe
A significantly increased risk to both the public and firefighters alike

Do you feel safer now than three years ago?

Tell them: no!

The fire authority is run by local councillors you elect....

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO OPPOSE THE CUTS AND....

Write to them to demand they put public safety first
Write to your MP to register your anger
Visit www.clevelandfire.gov.uk/haveyoursay and tell them NO!"

The level of public concern regarding these proposed cuts is clear and undeniable. This momentum serves as a vital reminder that the safety of our community remains a priority for those who live here.

The feedback from local residents has been invaluable in shaping our ongoing discussions regarding these proposed cuts. I am currently preparing formal correspondence to address the Fire Authority with the concerns this community has raised.

This is just shameful. they always say money is tight but they never touch the stuff that actually matters.

Leave our fire station alone! we need them close by in case of real trouble. dont cut corners on our lives.
