Oppose the conversion of 1140 W Wilson Ave for Cornerstone's expansion

We can not handle any more homeless shelters in and around Sheridan Park. This is abusive to the neighbors and businesses that have chosen to invest in this area. The unhoused deserve to live in a fully safe building in another ward. Every neighborhood in Chicago needs to chip in and help out with this crisis, not sweep it all into one ward.

Uptown has an over concentration of shelters for those experiencing homelessness, as well as an over concentration of psychiatric services, in comparison to neighboring wards. It’s time to look to neighboring wards for this expansion.

I oppose this expansion

Chicago has enough shelters already. I’m tired of migrants digging through the trash in my alley and leaving the trash on the ground. The cops already can’t keep up with the crime and this will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Awful location for a shelter -- this strip is in the midst of being succesfully developed into a business corridor that the area has sorely needed for many years. Also, too many units. High density public housing has proven unsuccessful and problematic. The best way is to spread them out, and have other wards and neighborhoods on the north side of the city do their fair share to help solve the homelessness issue, not just Uptown.

There should be more homeless shelters in other parts of Chicago, not concentrated in Update.

Spread the wealth to other neighborhoods that have zero shelters.

Please no Angela clay. Find more space, outside of the city for these folks so there's more opportunity than high priced goods and services. Bring these people closer to education and space to grow. It's rude putting someone's life in a store front. Very rude of you Angela

I oppose transitional housing above 2 Bears on Wilson St.

The issue is the use of public funds to purchase a private market rate building for a not-for-profit. If it were a blighted building, I would be fine, but I don’t think the current use complies with current standard for TIF funds.

We have more homeless shelters than any other ward. Enough!!!

In my opinion uptown DOES NOT need more homeless shelters MZ

I'm against this shelter as it will be detrimental to the neighborhood and the community in general.

This is taking Wilson and uptown altogether in the wrong direction. I say no!

There is no separation between church and state here.
