As the voice of business for more than 1000 businesses in Bloomington and Monroe County, The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce opposes the City’s proposed conditional use ordinance, which would restrict “standardized” restaurants ("a restaurant or bar devoted to the preparation and offering the sale of food or beverages to the public for the consumption either on or off the premises, which is required by contractual or other arrangements to offer standardized menus, ingredients, food preparation, employee uniforms, company logos, or exterior design.") from locating in some portions of the downtown.
