There is plenty of housing already available in the U of M area. They can always tear down the frat houses and relocate them.

Patterson Street and Cowden Ave have served as surrogate parking lots for the U of M for years and this is how we are treated. This whole project could be moved to areas between Southern and Park. Dr Rudd even has his bridge over the tracks. My guess is that he can charge more up here in close proximity to the Poplar corridor and Red Acres than his apartments can command south of the tracks.

As a proud Memphis University graduate And on campus resident - I oppose the Encroachment of student housing on the Nearby historic single family neighborhoods!

I don't understand why the original agreement seems to have no meaning now.

UM has no legal right to continue in this intrusion into the neighborhood. Cease and desist!

I would bet your own planning professors would tell you to stop encroaching on these long time traditional neighborhoods! Shame on you!

This is not right, the U of M agreed not to build here. I is dishonest on their part to buy up a neighborhood and expect the neighbors to get in line with them. This is a bad faith deal. I do wish U of M well in another area.

Y’all are nuts- people actually want to invest in this part of memphis. I’m all for it. We have enough blight and we need investments like this to help bring Memphis to the place it needs to be. Not in my back yard sounds like the theme for this petition. Quit being selfish and think about what we are going to leave for our kids. Feel free to reach out directly to me.

Please stick to the original agreement.

Stick to the agreement. Consolidate parking into building additional garages and erect resident housing over vacated existing areas wasted on surface parking—there is plenty of space for such construction within campus boundaries.

There is already too much traffic through our neighborhood. Expand elsewhere and adhere to the 2003 agreement.

There is already too much traffic in this beautiful tree-filled residential area. Please don't add to the problem.
