Should NOT be located in a residential area

Very much against this. We have two young children and there are so many children in the neighborhood and a school.

Opposed to a live in drug and alcohol rehab facility in the middle of a residential neighborhood.

A residential area is not the appropriate place for a rehab facility. Not safe for our children, horrible for property value.

We moved to Ridgefield in 2003 because of its history & reputation for protecting strict and consistent zoning. There is no sensible reason to consider injecting this commercial use in the middle of a prime residential area. P&Z should reject this application without further consideration.

We can't put a treatment center like this in the middle of a neighborhood.

A rehabilitation center has ZERO business in a residential neighborhood with strict zoning laws. It jeopardizes safety, home values, traffic, and is in close walking proximity of a school and a baseball field. It would better be served for our community in one of our many available non residential areas such as the much bigger Schlumberger property.

I live at 27 Doubleday Lane and strongly oppose Mountainside's application. My expectation is that the Town Planning and Zoning Committee will respect the town's Plan of Conservation and Development and reject this application.

This deviation from our existing zoning laws impacts all of Ridgefield. Traffic will increase and well water usage for the facility significantly threatens the neighboring water supply.

Ridiculous idea for this to be put in a residential area on a narrow windy road.

I oppose amending zoning regulations to enable for profit medical care facilities to open in 3 acre zoned residential neighborhoods in Ridgefield. This paves the way for many different types of commercial enterprises to spring up all over town. It enables operators of varying degrees of competence the ability to disrupt and forever change the residential DNA of our town, starting with our neighborhood.

Everyone please spread the word to stop this from happening in this residential neighborhood. Share the link with your Ridgefield email contacts and through Social Media. Attend Jan. 3rd public hearing and if you cannot attend write a letter for the record to be read. Writer letter to the Ridgefield Press of your opposition. Be heard. Harry Neumann (Chip)

A rehab facility should not be in a residential area, period. It is only beneficial to Mountainside. It will damage Ridgefield's reputation as a safe, family oriented town, and have serious financial consequences for home owners. There is no benefit for Ridgefield. Only harm.

There is no valid reason to allow for this re-zoning to allow for a proposed buyer to change the zoning amendment or permit to commercial for their specific use.
